
Bio
Matt is a vocalist and guitarist with 10+ years of experience performing, recording, and teaching professionally in a wide variety of genres such as rock, pop, blues, funk, jazz, and metal. He has performed throughout the East Coast in various original and cover bands, on renown stages like the Mohegan Sun Wolf Den, Big Night Live, Connolly's Pub in Times Square NYC, and The Feast of the Blessed Sacrament, opening for critically acclaimed artists such as Cold, Living on a Bad Name, Fatal Portrait, Jillian Jensen, and David Correy.

Matt's music education began in the Fairhaven school department, singing in the concert choir and theatre program, and playing guitar with the orchestra. He studied jazz theory with Berklee graduate Felix Rentschler and has taken private voice lessons from various instructors. While in high school, he caught the attention of manager/performer Scott Ross (Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch) and joined Scott's band "South Shore Rave". While in the band, Matt met and performed for legendary producers and label executives like Teddy Riley (Blackstreet), Michael Bivins (New Edition, Boyz II Men), and Ric Aliberte (Queen, Kiss). After 6 years of artist development, Matt enrolled at Bridgewater State University to study English and Education to strengthen his skills as a lyricist and teacher. He earned his Bachelors degree and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2022. He currently teaches private music lessons during the week while performing throughout the East Coast on weekends with the award-winning wedding and event band Closing Time Boston. He also continues to write, record, and perform original music with his bands Left of Love and SILICA.
