BIO
Matt is a vocalist and guitarist with over 10 years experience performing, recording, and teaching professionally in a variety of genres such as rock, pop, blues, funk, and country. He has performed throughout the East Coast as a solo artist and with various bands including Closing Time, Big Ray and the Kool Kats, The Bachelor Boys Band, SILICA, and Left of Love on renowned stages like the Mohegan Sun Wolf Den, Big Night Live, The OmniHomestead Resort, and The Feast of the Blessed Sacrament. Matt's music education began in the Fairhaven school department, singing in the concert choir and theatre program, and playing guitar with the orchestra. He studied music theory with Berklee graduate Felix Rentschler and has taken private voice lessons from various instructors. In high school, he caught the attention of manager/performer Scott Ross (Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch) and joined Scott's band "South Shore Rave". During this time, Matt met and performed for legendary producers and label executives like Teddy Riley (Blackstreet), Michael Bivins (New Edition, Boyz II Men), and Ric Aliberte (Queen, Kiss). In college, he performed with nationally acclaimed wedding band Closing Time Boston and won The Knot Magazine's "Best of Weddings 2021" and Wedding Wire's "Couple's Choice 2021". He currently teaches private music lessons during the week while performing on weekends with his bands Dr. FU, The District, and SILICA.

GIGS
I'm available for booking Friday through Sunday doing top 40 classic and contemporary covers or my own original material either solo acoustic or full band. Whatever music your bar, restaurant, wedding, corporate event, fundraiser, or birthday party calls for, I'm able to deliver! Guitar & Bass
I am available for remote and in-person recording sessions and have multiple pro-grade guitars, basses, amps, effect pedals, mics, modelling software, and plugins. Regardless of the genre or style, I can achieve the sound you need for your track!
LESSONS
Vocals
I am able to record vocals in person and remotely in my home-studio. I have a selection of dynamic and condenser microphones as well as preamps, plugins, and voice editing software (EQ, Compression, Reverb, Delay, Melodyne, Autotune, etc). I also offer lyrics, melody, and harmony writing for anyone in need of vocals for their instrumental tracks. Though I'm experienced singing in most genres, my specialties are Rock, Pop, Blues, Alternative, and Music Theatre.
I began teaching private guitar lessons in 2014. Since then I have expanded my curriculum to include bass and voice lessons, and have taught students of various ages and abilities both on my own and through esteemed music academies. Lessons will cover all aspects of the instrument from technique to music theory with a focus on your preferred genre(s). Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced musician looking to refine your skills, I can help you grow!
Lessons are $30 a half-hour or $50 per hour either in-person or virtually.
